Oh yeah, happy Tango Day! We had a chat with a real live Argentinian by the name of Marcela Diacono who teaches this passionate dance. Turns out, and we wouldn’t have seen this coming in a million years, that we offended a Tango purist out there. Apologies to you our friend, we did not realise how seriously this step should be taken, but in hindsight the interview was far too much fun and we did not credit Tango with the respect it deserves. So without a hint of a smile on my face I say, MUCHO TANGO AMIGOS!!

Now the ACC have been making quite a healthy profit since they’ve changed up the levvies scale and some people think it’s a bit of a SCAM. We spoke to one man, one crusader against the man, Director of the Australasian School of Motorcycle Studies, Mr. Charley Lamb. Have a listen to this expose as Charley busts open wide ACC’s plan to suck you, me, and the motorcyclists a little bit drier.

We got real this morning with Christchurch's legend of acoustic soul; Mr. Paul Urbana Jones. I've wanted to have him on the show and finally we managed to get some of his time today. We found out a little of his history, his influences and dissect his style too. Oh and of course we asked the question everybody wants to know - has he ever eaten placenta? Ever rang a call centre for some company and spoken with someone who's obviously not in total command of the English language? A lot of organisations are relocating their call centres offshore, mainly to cut costs but customers are finding it often frustrating when they're talking with someone who can't quite understand everything they're saying. We spoke to Pete Hattaway who is our call centre expert, or at least has had some first hand experience with them, training the operators as well. We spoke to Pete this morning to find out what's going on behind the scenes and is this the future for all our customer enquiries?

And fuck it all to shit, we had a chat with Linguist Bronwen Innes about the state of swearing in New Zealand. What makes a swear word a swear word exactly? When you double them up, why do they suddenly take on a whole new level of offensiveness? And when is it appropriate to swear your fucking head off? Finf out here:

Shay Hooray aka bingo caller Keith Preene is putting on his infamous Golden Goose Bingo show at The Loons in Lyttleton kicking off tonight, where there will be numbers a plenty, entertainment and of course a world o meat. We dissect the history of bingo, it's appeal with the young and old and Shay shares some secrets about the calls behind the numbers eg. 8 = a fat lady or 9 = a man felating himself after having a rib removed. We got a little festive this morning as we lead up not only to the end of the year and of course our loosely termed ‘Christmas Special’ but also RDUltide which is happening at Goodbye Blue Monday on the 12th of December. One of the bands playing at the gig, where they’ll play your favourite Christmas carols in new and interesting way is The Unfaithful Ways. Ben and Marlon came into the studio to sing a wee song - Silent Night acapella styles on purpose of course, have a listen to the song yo!

And finally on the show we spoke with Daniel Bridges from web auction site Trademe about their top 10 list. Everyone loves a top 10 list, we found out what it takes to get your listing on their list and what Trademe will or won't sell. Body parts, women for arranged marriages - just a couple of things they'd most probably ban but have a listen to see how far you can push it...

Ghosts. Who's scared of them? Who believes in them? Is paranormal activity even something that's open for debate as to whether it exists or not? Me and Spank had some good discussion this morning about ghosts, because we had a special guest on the show by the name of Clinton Lawson who is the founder of Phoenix Paranormal Research and Investigation. We wanted to find out a few things about this business and Clinton sure spark up a big 'ol amount of listener response! Phil Goff rang in this morning for his fortnightly catch up, we found out if he's really turning to Buddhism and his address to the nation speech which has been recieved with some controversy. Oh, and Copenhagen too, just what's up there and if Phil is jealous of John Key hanging with the World Leader Gang.

The most podcast worthy interview from this morning was one with Julia Deans of Fur Patrol fame. Julia has just finished a nationwide tour with Anika Moa and has also released a new single called A New Dialogue with a full album due to drop early next year. Listen to it NOW.

The mack daddy of all breakfast interviews - we spoke with Christchurch business man/gastronomic explorer Roger Beattie. Roger has the view to save endangered species in New Zealand we should farm them. Now while that may immediately hit a raw nerve with you, he actually makes some pretty good points, but mostly we wanted to hear about the Buff Weka which you can eat in the Chathams but is illegal here on the main land. Roger is planning to farm this tasty looking flightless bird and I have to say me and Spank would like a taste!

There's a company in unsuspecting Tauranga who claim they are working on the next level of search engine called Pingar. Rather than offering up links based on keyword searches for your queries when using Google and Yahoo, Pingar gives you fully blown answers in the form of a .pdf file. So it basically saves you the time taken to click all search results, looking for the right information. Which can be MINUTES!! They're looking to release a public beta version early next year, so be sure to keep an eye out for it and put it through its paces.
